SAINTS AND POETS PRODUCTIONS PRESENTS
THE WITCHES
Witches are real and they hate children! In 2013, Saints and Poets presented The Witches, David Wood’s stage adaptation of Roald Dahl’s classic story. Grandmother (Ruth Wallman in her Saints and Poets debut) explains to Boy (Isabelle Fenn) all about the witches and their nefarious plots against children. Soon after, Boy and Grandmother take a seaside vacation and find themselves at the very hotel where all the world’s witches have gathered for their annual meeting. Boy overhears the Grand High Witch’s (Marianne DiMascio) plans to turn all the children into mice and he puts his own plan in motion to stop her.
Cast member Patricia Julien (Patricia Julien Project, Fragile Zoe) composed original music for the production that also featured a film demonstrating how to identify a witch.
