In 2015 Saints and Poets presented this original musical comedy based upon the life of one of history’s most infamous rulers. Directed by Seth Jarvis, O, Caligula! A Mvsical featured book and lyrics by company co-founder Kevin Christopher and original music by Patricia Julien.

This new work mixed a little bit of history, a dash of the cult classic film Caligula and a whole lot of irreverent adult fun to bring Rome’s most notorious Caesar to the stage. Theatregoers watched as Gaius “Caligula” Caesar (Sean Martin), his trusty horse Incitatus (G. Richard Ames), his sister Drusilla (Blythe Usher), his bride Caesonia (Chris Caswell) and grandfather Tiberius (Bob Boylard) and a cast of colorful characters danced and sung their way through the crumbling of an empire.

O, Caligula! A Mvsical came with a mature audience warning as it contains adult language, mature themes, violence (human, horse, puppet), partial nudity and inappropriate jazz hands.
